I am a 2010 graduate of Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. I have an AAS in Ecotourism and Adventure Travel. I am a naturalist, a barefoot hiker and a sustainable living practitioner. I hope to share my experiences in living symbiotically with nature with my fellow species in hopes of expanding knowledge on how to create a life utilizing your local environment's many beneficial resources. I hope sharing my work will promote others to live in companionship with our natural world.

Project Check List

  • Install sinks, shower, toilet
  • Construct solar panel platform - install conduit
  • Install rain gutters, storage tanks, gravity fed plumbing pipes
  • Lay loft flooring
  • Apply cob to interior walls
  • Build sculpted couch, counters, window sills
  • Install front door and windows
  • Build cob oven and chimney
  • Build earthen floor layers - gravel, straw, cob, screened earth, linseed oil, natural resin sealer
  • Install framed wall for plumbing pipe housing
  • Mix cob and apply to exterior, finish with lime plaster
  • Complete dome with skylight window
  • Continue 50lb tube courses installing ventelation pipes and loft windows
  • Once bag courses reach 8 ft heigh, install loft beams
  • Begin laying 50 lb tube courses - installing kitchen and bathroom window forms
  • Install large living space windows on 4th course of bags
  • Lay 2 additional rows of 100 lb bags - Stem wall completed!
  • Intall door form onto 2nd course of bags
  • Lay 2 courses of 100 lb bags
  • Fill floor foundation and trench with crushed limestone - level
  • Construct 70 Velcro Plates/Strip Anchors
